Asics Gel Lyte V “Aix-en-Provence”

Asics Tiger releases another nice general releases, which is based on the well known lavender fields across the Aix-en-Provence in France.
The Gel Lyte V will release today on July 29th at selected Asics Tiger retailers all over the globe!

The pair features premium suede trough out the upper, primarily in a lavender color way, which is completed by a sand colored heel on a white midsole. The french floral theme is shown with some images of lavender fields on the sockliners.
There has been a lot of talk about the fact that this pair looks a lot like the “Lavender and Sand” pack Asics Tiger and Clot collaborated on earlier this year and there’s actually a good point about it, but I don’t think there’s anything bad about that.

In my opinion another very clean GR with a good selection of materials by Asics. The only thing I would have done different is the color choice on the tongue and stripes. I would have chosen the same lavender color on the tongue as on the rest of the sneaker and some fresh sand colored tiger stripes. Those two details are the main reason, why I will be passing on this one…
