I visited London last week, in order to be at the latest Crepe City Event which took place in the Old Truman Brewery last Saturday, March 25th. I had been on the previous year already and had a wonderful experience, so it was
There was a great atmosphere during the whole day, nice sound in each hall, good food and the most important thing good people with even better trainers.
The CC Crew manages to impress me every year. For this occasion the Event was even better than the one I’ve been before. Again the UK lads did a great job with their collection, which is now available on their website aswell.
Due to the 30th Anniversary of the Air Max 1 on March 26th, there was a lot of hype around the swoosh brand and their recent releases. To celebrate this special occasion Crepe City, Nike and Size? joined forces to prepare a nice pop-up store around the corner of the Event, showcasing some of the most wanted Air Max models of the last decade, pairs which were raffled off later on to some lucky contestants.
Eventough they were mainly Yeezy and Air Max 1 for sale, I managed to grab myself two decent pairs of ASICS I’ve been hunting for a while. The first was the ASICS Gel Lyte III x Concepts “Three Lies” from 2013 and also the ASICS GT-2 “The Netherlands” from 2012, which was the official pair for the dutch team in the Olympic games in London.
I actually saw a few nice pairs I would have loved to grab, especially the Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg “Militia” and the Gel Lyte III x Solefly “Night Haven” caugth my attention.
One of the negative part of the event was as always the prices on a lot of pairs. Furthermore there were lots of young kids around wearing some really expensive Supreme stuff and looking for hyped things like Adidas Yeezy Boosts and the recent Air Max 1 releases, but a part from that I have to admit I had a great time and I’ll be visiting CC soon again.
Of course there were a lot of pairs of Asics on feet and for sale. If I had to choose one of the pairs that I’ve seen on feet it would definitely be between the Gel Lyte III x Invicible “Formosa” and the Gel Lyte III x Ronnie Fieg “Culture Shoq 2.0” worn by the brother Tom aka @aintfussed. You can see my top 5 selection below…
Once again I had a incredible time at the Event, I was happy to catch up with some fellas I hadn’t seen in a while and of course meet a lot of people.
Thanks to the whole Crepe City Crew for doing once again a great job with the whole Event, you guys rocked it and I had a wonderful time. Big up to everyone who stopped by to say Hello and also to Glenn, Morgan and Ron for having me at CC.
A very special thank you goes out to my buddy Javi aka @jotaese27 and also to the man Wilson @smileymalone for the hospitality and for showing me around London. Big up!
For those who missed out the Event last weekend, here’s an extended recap of Crepe City 2017. Enjoy and feel free to share the Pictures.
