Recaps 2016

Swisssneaks #3, February 27th & 28th 2016 / Lausanne, Switzerland

This past weekend on February 27th and 28th, the 3rd edition of the Swisssneaks event took place in the Espace Démart in Lausanne, Switzerland.
A very nice Event, which brought together more than 1200 people from all over the german, french and Italian speaking parts of Switzerland. That’s the most beautiful thing about the swiss sneaker culture, even if not all of us speak the same language, there is a very nice passion that we share when we talk about kicks.
The event was amazing, it was very familiar and I was glad to see some friends I hadn’t seen in a long time. Free entry, free typical swiss raclette, good music and as you can see some dope sneakers. It’s the 3rd time this little event has taken place and it just keeps on getting better and better…
Unfortunately I was only able to be there on Saturday, but I enjoyed my time there a lot and was lucky enough to pick up the Asics Gel Lyte III x Sneaker Freaker “Alvin Purple” Re-Issue.
Lots of Air Max 1, OG Nike’s and Yeezys for sale… Also a few Asics runners, but you can see that the guys from Lausanne are more into Nike.
Huge thank you to the man, the one and only Julz and all the guys who helped out for the wonderful organization of the event. It was a blast and I had a great time and btw the raclette was delicious!
I’m already excited about the 4th edition and I hope to see you guys there!

Sneakerness, April 16th & 17th 2016 / Zurich, Switzerland

This past weekend on the 16th and 17th of April the Sneakerness in the Maag Hall in Zurich took place. A very special occasion, as I’m based in Switzerland and it’s the biggest sneaker related event here, that started back in 2008 in my hometown Bern.
It was a great weekend, I got to meet amazing people from all over Europe and of course to see old friends again. Nice people, good music and lots of great kicks created a extraordinary atmosphere, just the rainy weather on Sunday didn’t want to play along.
I was able to grab some vintage Asics stuff for pretty decent prices, so the weekend was literally perfect!
Sunday was more chill, there were less people so I had plenty of time to talk to some of the visitors from different countries. We all agreed on that it was a nice event, but also that the prices were pretty high…
For those who missed out, here’s a recap of the second day of the Sneakerness in Zurich.
Big up to the whole Sneakerness team,  who managed to pull out a nice event once again and I can’t wait for the next one!
Next up is Crepe City in London… Let me know if you’re going to be there so we can have a chat.

Crepe City, April 30th 2016 / London, UK

It was the first time that I visited this event and there were a lot of people queuing for an 5£ entry from really early on.  Luckily I had a Hyperstrike ticket and I walked in at 11am and got a nice goodie bag, which included the new CC Magazine, some vouchers and stickers.
The location was so nice and really on point. The event was well organized and the security staff took their job seriously and always knew how to help. There were several halls with tables full with kicks and clothes and the best part was that there was enough space to have a chill sneaker talk with some friends without being overran by people.
The event was amazing, I’ve got to meet people that I had been in contact with for some time, but never had the pleasure to be with in person. We’ve took some nice pictures together and I had a lot of fun with the guys!
It was nice to have a chat with some people that are still interested in collecting and not only in reselling.
There was a great atmosphere during the whole day, nice sound in each hall with another DJ, good food and the most important thing some good trainers.
Diadora and Hanon were also represented, as they were introducing us to the remake of N9000 “Saturday Special” on the B.Elite. The pair was limited to 50 pieces and was only available yesterday at the event. They also displayed the previous collaborations between the Italian brand and Hanon and the new color ways of the Diadora V7000 Weave. There were also some nice pairs on feet!
Of course there were a lot of pairs of Asics on feet and for sale. If I had to choose one of the pairs that I’ve seen on feet it would definitely be between the Gel Saga x Solebox “Blue Carpenter Bee” Sample from 2012, the Made In Japan Gel Lyte III and the Gel Lyte Speed Sample from A.R.C.
The only negative part of the event was as always the prices and this time even in pounds. Furthermore there were lots of young kids around wearing some really expensive supreme stuff and looking for hyped things like Adidas Yeezy Boosts and NMDs, but a part from that I have to admit it is the best event I’ve been to.
I want to thank the one and only Morgan and the whole CC crew for putting together a wonderful event and the great effort they went trough. I had a great time in London and I’m already excited about the next event!
If you get the chance to visit one of the Crepe City events, you should definitely do it, it’s worth every penny!

Burgers & Sneakers, June 26th 2016 / Fribourg, Switzerland

Last sunday on June 26th the 1st edition of the Burgers & Sneakers event in the Cyclo Café in Fribourg took place! I had a great time and I’m looking forward to the next one!
It was a nice small event in the Cyclo Café in Fribourg, Switzerland. I had the chance to catch up with guys I haven’t seen in a while from all over Switzerland. Especially the french part of Switzerland was represented, as the event took place in a french and german speaking region of Switzerland.
Lots of enthusiasts and sneaker collectors we’re there enjoying the sunny day, the amazing food and of course the cool people.
Check out the recap below to see what you’ve missed and be sure to not miss the next one!

Sole Season #3, November 6th 2016 / Basel, Switzerland

I visited the 3rd edition of the Sole Season III last Sunday, November 6th, which took place in the Halle 7 in Basel. I had a wonderful time and was happy to see some old friends again to catch up and of course talk about kicks.
People from all over Switzerland and also Germany met this past weekend at the Sole Season III to buy, sell and trade sneakers.
A good amount of private sellers had their tables ready on Sunday, with some really nice and rare runners, and also the Seven Sneaker Store was represented with an huge selection for the female visitors.
Even if it was quite cold, the weather was pretty nice and over 1’000 visitors came by to check out the great atmosphere at Sole Season. The best part of the event was spending time with some buddies that I hadn’t seen in a while and also that I was able to pick up some pretty cool pairs.
As the event was sponsored by ASICS Tiger my good friend @artlezsnkrs and I decided to prepare a ASICS history exhibition table, honoring also the 30th Anniversary of GEL-Innovation. OG pairs from the 80’s and 90’s, together with some of the most popular and limited collaborations and samples from between 2006 and 2015.
A good bunch of OG Gel Lyte II, III and V, but also Gel Saga and Japan exclusive silhouettes from back in the 90’s. Going over to the most limited collabs from 24, Kilates, BBB, Colette, Hanon, Patta, Ronnie Fieg, Slam Jam and much more.
We were also able to show the visitors some of the rarest ASICS Samples, including the black and white Zillion Sample, the two unreleased “Blue Carpenter Bee” Pack and the GGB 1 of 2 Gel Lyte III Sample, by Hikmet Sugoer.
It was really nice to see the people’s nice reaction to the table and also to talk to some guys that appreciate the brand as much as I do.
It was also nice to see some really nice ASICS pairs on the visitors feet as you can see in some of the pics above. The once I liked the most were definitely the recent EMMI Gel Lyte III, the Solefly Gel Lyte III and the Gel Saga “Mazarine” by Ronnie Fieg.
Edwin Europe was also represented, showing their new collection and selling some good quality denim and clothes for fair prices.
A store I really recommend you to check out in case your looking for a good piece of clothing.
Big up to the whole Sole Season family, I had a great time, you guys rock and see you soon for Sole Season #4!
